The role will involve:
Deploying cutting-edge computer vision machine learning algorithms on satellite tracking and aircraft data.
Making use of state-of-the-art reinforcement learning models, collaborating closely with physical modelling experts, to enhance the efficiency of our global sensor networks.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement machine learning solutions that are robust and scalable, initially in simulated environments with a roadmap for global deployment.
Pioneering in the application of ML techniques for strategic planning and optimization in a globally distributed network.
Engaging with the latest ML technologies and methodologies, maintaining and enhancing our competitive edge in the industry.
Person Specification
Essential
Ability to work independently on complex projects, with a proven track record of delivering results. This role is highly self motivated and the applicant must be capable of taking projects from inception to deployment, with assistance from the wider software team.
Strong background in machine learning, specifically in computer vision and reinforcement learning.
Demonstrated experience in developing and deploying ML models, particularly in image analysis and optimization algorithms.
Strong Python programming skills, and familiarity with the usual ML frameworks: TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.
Excellent problem-solving skills and a passion for innovation in technology.
Strong communication skills, capable of articulating complex technical concepts to diverse teams.
Desirable
Experience in aerospace, satellite technology, or related fields.
Familiarity with physical modelling and simulation environments.
Prior work on global-scale projects and understanding of distributed systems.
Interest in contributing to a culture of excellence and collaborative learning within the team.
